Bob Pittaway has been hunting pigs most of his life. As a highly successful farm manager his jobs have always placed him in the best hunting country. The book covers some of the hunting Bob has enjoyed around the country. The main part of the book covers the years spent at Horirua, a vast back country station that was like stepping back in time. Mobs of lamb killing pigs roamed the station destroying pasture and fences at will. How Bob tackled the task of dealing to the pigs and restoring the farm to full production, winning farmer of the year in the process, is a story of grit and determination as well as a darn good hunting yarn.
