Booklist Review

Kelly Doyle wakes up trapped in an arsonist's blaze. Overcome by fear and smoke she regains consciousness in a land where magic is real, and she is the prisoner of eight brothers, four sets of twins. Or is she? Johnson's modern-day fairy tale is hampered by implausible plot points and a heroine who is initially hard to sympathize with. Despite these challenges, the magical land Johnson creates is a whimsical treat, and the brothers are a joy to behold. Readers will look forward to more in the Sons of Destiny series. --Nina Davis Copyright 2007 Booklist
