Booklist Review

The World Leaders series (4 titles) does readers a service by writing about people in the news, but those who may not be household names. Jacinda Ardern introduces the young leader and explains how she came to power and her goals for her country; however, Ardern may be more familiar to readers since the horrific mosques massacres in March 2019. All of the volumes convey a strong sense of the history of both the person and the country or institution he or she leads. People or factors impacting a leader's life get their own pages, and a Think About It quiz concludes. An attractive and useful series, especially for report writers.--Ilene Cooper Copyright 2019 Booklist
