Summer Storms by Amy Clipston

Ariana is counting down the days until her wedding to Jesse. They have been friends longer than Arianna can remember, and that friendship turned into love over the past couple of years. But when Arianna's brother Tobias, who happens to be Jesse's best friend, gets them both into trouble, Arianna's father puts an end to her engagement to Jesse. Some summer storms pass quickly, but Arianna is afraid the damage from this one may be too much to repair.

Lakeside Love by Kathleen Fuller

One Sweet Kiss by Kelly Irvin

Everybody in little Bee County, Texas, can see the obvious: Jacob King and Martha Byler are meant to be together. Everyone, that is, but Martha. Ever since her mother died when Martha was a young girl, she has taken over the role of caregiver to her large family. And reckless Jacob, who has had a little too much fun on his rumspringa, only seems to add to the list of people to manage. Reviews provided by Syndetics

Library Journal Review

In Gray's novella "A Reunion in Pinecraft," miscommunication leads to romantic problems for Graham Holland when he visits the Kramer sisters and discovers that he has been writing to the wrong sibling. Can he appease one sister while winning the heart of the other? In Amy Clipston's "Summer Storms," Arianna's dreams of a perfect wedding day dissipate when an alcohol-fueled buggy race involving her brother Tobias and fiancé Jesse lands both men in trouble. Unrequited love and sibling rivalry are at the heart of Kathleen Fuller's "Lakeside Love." Esther has always adored Judah, who only has eyes for her sister Sarah. But Esther's affection for Judah creates problems for handsome Englisher Rhett, who is interested in her. Kelly Irvin rounds out this collection with "One Sweet Kiss." Martha Byler, whose hands are full caring for her large family, refuses to see Jacob King as husband material, but a kiss may change everything. VERDICT Four popular authors of Amish fiction are at their very best with these novellas. Perfect for a short summer literary escape. © Copyright 2017.
