Library Journal Review

Lauricella left her New York City job as a successful events planner to start a baby goat rescue and sanctuary with a focus on those with special needs and is known to her 300,000-plus Instagram followers. This entertaining and feel-good book is a by-product of her wildly popular Webby Award-winning @goatsofanarchy Instagram account. Some of the goats come to her in very grave shape, with frostbitten and amputated limbs; she rehabilitates them and provides a loving home for them to heal and grow. Although the book is sparse on text and is comprised predominantly of photos, it introduces readers one by one to all the rescue residents-goats, pigs, donkeys-with an image of each accompanied by a brief description of its breed, the story of how the animal came to be part of the Goats of Anarchy family, and details of their special situation. The combination of adorable photos and stories will tug at the heartstrings of any animal-loving reader. Verdict Who knew goats could be so cute and entertaining? Lauricella's followers will seek this out. An optional purchase for libraries, it's more likely to be a personal purchase for those interested in animal rescue and rehabilitation.-Jennifer Ruzicka, Library Journal © Copyright 2017.
