In the second standalone book in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams' Thatch series, Knox Alexander must convince his long-time love Harlow Evans that they're meant to be together.

He promised to wait for her.

She told him he was wasting his time.

Not waiting for him ended up being the biggest mistake of her life.

When they were younger, Knox Alexander swore to Harlow Evans that he would wait for her to turn eighteen so they could be together. But that was two and a half years away, and Harlow couldn't ask him to give up all the fun and thrills of going away to college for her. As the years passed, Knox remained a constant in her life but when her eighteenth birthday came around, Harlow's heart belonged to someone else.

Every day for the last four years, Harlow has been haunted by that fateful choice. And though he may appear unaffected by what happened in their past, Knox has always tried to fill the void Harlow left. But when he comes stumbling back into her life and refuses to leave, will Harlow finally let him into her heart...

Library Journal Review

Harlow and Knox met when she was just 15 and immediately fell deeply in love. Despite their promise to wait for each other, Harlow becomes trapped in a terrifying, abusive marriage to a dangerous man and regrets betraying her love with Knox. Knox never stopped loving Harlow despite his heartbreak, so when he sees her in town for the first time in years, he's elated to make contact with her again. Yet he can tell that something's not right, and when he learns about her brutal husband, he vows to protect her, holding the tiniest hope that they'll have a chance to be together at last. But Harlow's husband is more dangerous than Knox can imagine, and Harlow must get past her fear, trusting that Knox can rescue her and lead them both toward a healing love. Verdict Book two in McAdams's "Thatch" series takes readers on a nonstop, heartrending ride. A substantial story with a few steamy scenes, imperfect but lovable characters, and an eternal love capable of beating the odds make this an excellent choice for romance lovers.-J. Booklist Review

Best-selling author McAdams delivers another heart-wrenching story in the second novel in the Thatch series, following Letting Go (2014). Knox knew Harlow was his everything the moment they met, but their age difference forced them to keep their distance. Harlow was only 15, so Knox promised to wait for her to turn 18. In the interim, their pure love grows, but their dream of being together comes crashing down when Harlow goes away to college and quickly loses her heart to another in a whirlwind romance. Now, many years later, Harlow regrets her decision every hour, forced to live with the monster her husband has become. One day, Harlow runs into Knox at a coffee shop, drastically changing her life as their love comes rushing back. Realizing that Harlow is not herself, Knox is determined to help her, no matter the risk. Readers will tear through this emotional, fast-paced read, but they should be advised that To the Stars contains numerous graphic, potentially disturbing scenes of domestic violence.--Smith, Patricia Copyright 2016 Booklist
